NEW ELECTRIC STARTER FITS KOHLER MAGNUM 20 HP ENGINE MV20-57501 - MV20-57529
Long story, good ending. Starter is a replacement for a 20HP Kohler on an old "3 wheeler Scag 61" mower. After ordering one from a "major" online org. and installing it I was excited to turn the key. When the starter engaged the flywheel the gear would not disengage and it just kept cranking. the ignition switch would not turn it off and by the time I disconnected the battery it was toast! Hence the title. After taking it off which is quite a task as it is a very tight working space I started looking for another starter. After much looking and reading I went with you guys. Shipping was super, 2 days! And once again installing it and getting everything back in order it was time to fire it up. I was nervous, "once bitten, twice shy" also had to replace the external solenoid as it also was toast. It was once again show time. Turned the key and it fired. Oh Happy Day!
